2010 Season Kickoff Meeting
REMINDER – Our kickoff meeting for the 2010 season will take place on Monday night, January 25th at 7:00 at the Washington Township Senior Center. The Center is where we held some meetings in the spring. It is located at 315 Greentree Road in Sewell (08080). It is just south of Egg Harbor Road on the right hand side past the ice cream shop. If coming up Greentree from Glassboro, it will be on your left just past the light at Ott’s. Do your best to attend or have someone from your organization there.
Registration
It is very important that all teams register by March 1st so that we can align the divisions properly and timely. You can register at the meeting or on line through our website.
Fund Raising Opportunities
Tony Masselli (MVP Fund-Raising) has been in the fund-raising business for over 20 years. He understands the challenges in today’s economy in raising the necessary funds in operating your baseball team. TSE Tournaments
We are still waiting confirmation on our April tournament. We will be hosting a summer tournament (June 25-27) for ages 9U through 16U. The flyer for that tournament is in the website under the League Info, Tournament page.
TSE League Growth
The league continues to grow. We recently had discussions in Lehigh Valley (PA) and Jackson (NJ) where we will be adding teams. We will talk more about at the meeting. As we continue to run and grow our league, our philosophy has not changed – our goal is to provide a competitive experience for all levels of talent, as well as provide an exceptional level of service to ensure each team participating is having a quality experience.
There are other organizations trying to start leagues. Some have reached out to us on other ventures and we have declined partnership because it was not beneficial to our league members. We will not offer a disservice to our league members. We try to remain focused on what is important to the league as whole.
Team Websites
We will be asking teams to provide us with your team/program website. For those teams that have a website, hopefully you include your field directions. We feel this will be far more efficient in posting the team name versus the field name when trying to locate how to get to the field of play.
Milt Thompson
Milt will be at the kickoff meeting and talk baseball with the group. Prior to the meeting, he will have copies of his new DVD, “Hitting Made Easy” available for purchase. He will personalize for you.
Baseballs
We will have an order form at the meeting for those who need to order baseballs. We believe we can help minimize your cost by ordering in quantity. The plan would be distribute the balls at the scheduling meetings.
TSE Softball
For those programs that also have softball teams looking to play in an organized structure, we welcome you to attend our kickoff meeting on Saturday, January 23 at 4:30 at the Washington Township Hit Doctor off of Delsea Drive (1 Enterprise Court, Sewell 08080). We would appreciate it if you pass along the e-mail to your contacts if you do have a softball program or are aware of teams looking to participate.
